How rugged is it? Will it break if I drop it?

hiku was designed to live in the kitchen and be handled by kids of all ages, so it is designed to be tough and resistant to the occasional spill.

To withstand falls, the housing is thick,
press fit together to create a virtual lock, and ribbed on the inside for reinforced structural integrity. There are no moving parts, and the electronics inside are locked in place during assembly. The round design also minimizes force during a drop, distributing impact across the entire surface.

To help resist water, hiku is designed with overlapping housing, and capped with silicone rubber at the base and back, and foam under the button.

Not bad for such a simple device, if we do say so ourselves.
